The Way An Individual Faces Challenges Shapes Them And Their Achievements

Everybody has to face challenges every day. They shape our identity and help us achieve our goals. We become stronger and more competent when we face challenges. Many people think that a challenge is a hindrance to our path. However, adversity provides an opportunity for us to gain insight and understanding of different values.

The challenge forces individuals to think differently and helps them learn from their mistakes. It gives them valuable information and values that help them to live their lives and chase their dreams. Adversity is meant to challenge our abilities and make us stronger. Challenges can be used as a way for an individual to grow mentally or physically. Consider an athlete as an example. The athlete must overcome his or her own obstacles to win gold medals or compete in events that are beyond their abilities. An athlete can gain new information and values that will help to enhance their future achievements and assets. While there are times when people may be devastated, the challenge can help them grow and learn vital values. These values can be used to help people overcome similar challenges, or bring new perspectives and strength to their own identity. Bethany Hamilton, a strong and determined woman, saw a challenge as allowing her to transform herself. As a surfer, Hamilton was young and suffered a vicious attack by a shark. One of her arms was severed. Hamilton learned from this tragic experience the importance of perseverance and resilience, which allowed her to pursue her dreams. Bethany overcame her own obstacles and won numerous awards including the Explorer Women’s Division Award of the NSSA. We all face challenges every day to learn new skills and support our mind’s growth. The most important thing in life is the challenge.
