Can Money Buy Happiness: Essay On My Opinion

Think about the question, “Can money buy happiness?” You would probably reply, “Oh, that’s clear, I’d just lend you some cash and you some more money and we’re best buddies!” This is not the case. I’ll help you better understand your question by taking a few moments of your time. It is difficult to define happiness. Every person has a different view of happiness based on their past experiences. People believe that money can bring you happiness as it allows you to buy the shoes and travel plans you want. Some believe money can buy you strength and power. Others disagree. This essay addresses the question “Does money buy happiness?” My opinion is that money cannot buy happiness. Our daily needs are met by money. While having a lot of money might allow you to buy fancy, expensive items like brands, it would not bring you any satisfaction. Money can’t buy happiness or love. While money is essential for all, it cannot buy you everything, such as a loved one or general knowledge. My belief is that happiness does not depend on how much money you have. It is about who we are able to have in life and what we can give them. Even though money is often considered to be the most powerful thing in the universe, money cannot buy happiness. However, money can’t buy friendships or a lifetime of closeness with family members. A good relationship with friends will make you feel safe and secure. According to the Huffington Post’s July 2012 study, people who have more money are respected more than those with less. But, money doesn’t necessarily make you a respected person. Bill Gates, Microsoft’s founder, said that “money makes you forget who your are.” People forget who they really are when money isn’t in their hands. Conclusion: Money can’t buy happiness or bring joy to our lives. It cannot buy us the emotions, past loved ones, or everything that will make our lives easier. I believe that you do not need money to make your life easier. You can buy knowledge, time and peace. Although money can make life easier, it is not true that it can make it more enjoyable. A fancy car may be faster to get you where you want to go, but an average vehicle will do the same. Money cannot buy happiness. The most important gifts in life, such as friendship or love, are not available for purchase.
