Advantages Of Having Parenting License

Hugh LaFollette a University of South Florida professor, wrote an essay about licensing parents. Although this would help prevent children from being in dangerous situations, many people are not convinced. I will argue in this essay that a parent’s license is essential for both parents and children.

Many believe that requiring a Parenting License will decrease the desire to have children. This is because people won’t want to complete the required training. While I understand that the license is not meant to discourage people wanting children, it does make sense. Different parenting styles can lead to different parenting methods and different ways of raising their children. It is possible that the license will not reflect their parenting style or be in line with what they are trying to do. Many people don’t want to hear how their child should be raised. Another argument is the fact that some potential parents may not be able to afford the necessary training. This argument can also be valid due to grown adults being very preoccupied by work and other responsibilities. Even though many families are lower-class, they may not have the means to pay for classes. This can prevent them from having kids. There is a growing concern that children could be taken from their parents if they are not careful enough. This argument, which is also very valid, proves that the system could be flawed. Although all of the above arguments are very valid, safety and health must be considered. Argument 1: If you have to attend a class to get a license to have children, then it is not right. You won’t want to care for a baby if you have to go to class and pass a test. This argument is slightly stronger. This argument is more convincing. It is easy to get into arguments about the best time frame for your child. How will you expect to care for a child who requires more effort and time? Parents don’t want their child’s education to dictate how they raise them. While many people think that a licensing will allow them to raise their child in a specific way, classes and training will not. They will learn how to take care of your child, how you can help them if there are any dangers, and what to do when they become choking. You can’t restrict your child’s religious or political beliefs from being raised by the license. Classes and the license would be beneficial to both new parents and the child being raised. The benefits of a parenting licence are more important than the prerequisites. While there are many reasons that a potential parenting licence may be desirable, they are not always the best option. The safety and wellbeing of the child is the main reason for wanting to be a parent.
